This is our favorite restaurant to celebrate our anniversary or just casual date nights. We’ve been coming here for many years and this place never disappoints. Everybody are so nice and the food is the best! hands down.

Premium steaks, selection of wine, superb.Service was outstanding.Unfortunately, it is deafening. Yes, it was Saturday night, and they were very busy. Maybe it was where we were seated. It was challenging to carry on a conversation with my party of four. It was a business dinner, and we wanted to enjoy our meal and have small industry talk; that was impossible.I would return if we could get a discount and be seated in a different section.Wayne Smalley

Good food and impeccable service!! It was my first time in Columbus, and they have recommended this place for steak. Katie was amazing, super professional, and friendly. My oysters were good from Boston and super fast delivered to me.My porterhouse was a bit overcooked on the sides but medium rare in the middle. Katie was so nice that I didn't want to let her know, but overall, it was a great experience. Probably next time, I try some of their Japanese steak. This time, I was hungry, so that it why I ordered the porterhouse. The driks are very good, but they need some better ice, especially for $20, and the old-fashionedI spend around $190 for me, my stake fries, and 2 drinks with tips included

Very friendly and attentive staff as soon as you come in the door. The wedge salad was surprisingly large and had a generous amount of toppings. The steak was cooked just right and the crab and asparagus topping was very flavorful. The flour less chocolate cake was incredibly rich, definitely recommend splitting that.

I would say all the apps and side were so good! I got calamari and salmon caesar salad. When I first saw my calamari I was like, oh! This is not what I expect, but after my first bite....ummm yummy. Too bad my salad wasn't that good, the salmon wasn't good at all, I only ate veggies. My husband got his steak (of course) and sides, turned out his sides were a lot better than the steak, he requested medium rare but it came medium and some part was cooked. With his 2 glasses of wine we spent around $250, with the very slow service and just okay food, I don't think I like it that much, maybe get calamari for to go? :D

The food was exceptional. Great ambience. We came as an extra celebration for our anniversary. I only ordered appetizers: the crab-cake, the wedge salad, brussel sprouts, and the lobster bisque. Overall, it was one of the best meals I had during my visit in Columbus. When the waiter found out that it was our anniversary, he went out of his way to make it extra special. He brought rose petals and a candle to the table and offered a complementary dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to a return visit.

I gave them 4 stars based on the overall experience. A lot of their food is overly salty and I love salt so that should tell you something. We had the lobster bisque and crab cake as an appetizer. Crab cakes were perfect but the bisque was full of lobster and salt. Pretzel bread was amazing. For our entree we had the tomahawk steak, onion strings, garlic mashed potatoes, and the potatoes were almost inedible because the amount of salt. But the grand finale was the red velvet cake. Lord have mercy. I will definitely be back just for the cake.

If you want to try this restaurant, have plenty of time to spare! Otherwise, you might regret that you went.I visited Hyde Park in downtown Columbus on a Saturday with a party of 10 to celebrate my birthday. I was really excited to visit as the restaurant was a suggestion of a friend. The atmosphere was nice, the drinks were satisfying, the food got mixed reviews, and the service was slow!!! When my party was seated at 6:30 p.m. three different servers introduced themselves to us and said they would be waiting on our table. To me, this set an expectation that all three servers would work together to provide our table highly attentive service, which didn’t end up being the case. While we were quickly given a drink menu, we had to ask for our drink orders to be taken. There was also a delay in having our entrée orders placed. Due to this, I ended up having my appetizer at the same time as my entrée, which isn’t typical in my experience going to other high-end restaurants. After waiting on our entrées for several minutes, we followed up with Craig, who I assume is one of the managers, as we wanted to know when our entrées would be received. The food came out soon after Craig went into the kitchen. To the restaurant’s credit, the food was hot when it was brought out, I just couldn’t understand why it took someone going into the kitchen for us to finally get our food or why we hadn’t at least gotten word if there was a delay in the kitchen. A selling point of choosing to go to Hyde Park was the flaming butter cake. I love dessert and this one looked appealing. However, choosing to have dessert (for my birthday) proved to be a sacrifice. I had adjusted the time of my dinner reservation to be a little earlier, having no doubts that with the high-quality service I expected to receive, there would be no issue in having a full course meal for a party of my size in 2 and a half hours, then leaving to attend a concert 2 miles away that I was really looking forward to! To make a long story a little shorter, receiving our checks also took more time than expected. We finally left the restaurant around 9:30 p.m. (3 hours after arriving). By the time my friends and I got to the festival where the concert was taking place, the artist was performing their last song! This was a huge disappointment, especially on my birthday weekend, as much of the time we spent waiting for service at the restaurant, could have been spent at the concert! Sadly, I don’t anticipate visiting Hyde Park again in the near future or recommending it to others. Time is a commodity that isn’t easily replaced. The slow service at the restaurant affected my ability to have an experience that I have been waiting on for many years. If the expectation of time for a party of 10 is 3 hours, I really wish that would have been expressed as I was booking the reservation or as we were seated! I hope the restaurant will truly take this review into consideration for the sake of future customers.P.S. The server who primarily assisted us, named Scott worked to remedy a few issues for us throughout dinner and was friendly, so he should get credit for that. He likely just needed more support to wait a group of that size.***Update: The manager, named Craig, reached out to me to apologize for the inconvenience and extended me a token of appreciation as a customer as the experience wasn’t what I hoped for.

Hyde Park, Columbus, delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional hospitality and professionalism were evident. Our server, Paul, deserves special recognition for his outstanding service. His friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine desire to enhance our dining experience made a significant impression and easily made him the best server I’ve ever encountered. We started the evening with a phenomenal Moscow Mule. Served in a traditional heavy mule cup, the cocktail had a perfect balance of flavors, setting a high standard for the night. Upon entering our private room for the event, we were greeted with an impressive display of three-tier seafood plates. Although I did not personally sample the seafood, their presentation was truly spectacular. The fried lobster, however, was an absolute standout. It ranks as one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had, boasting an exquisite taste and texture. The lamb chop lollipops were equally delightful, tender and seasoned to perfection, accompanied by a delicious sauce that complemented the meat wonderfully.Throughout the evening, both white and red wines flowed generously, each one of top-tier quality. The dessert wine, in particular, was a revelation—the best I’ve ever tasted, though I regret not knowing its name. For my main course, I chose the Ryan Day steak. While the interior was cooked to perfection as per my request, I found the charring a bit excessive for my taste. I later learned that this is a characteristic style of their cooking. Despite this, the steak’s flavor was excellent, and I would not hesitate to order it again. The French onion soup I had as an appetizer was extraordinary, undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had. Though I cannot recall the specific side dish I paired with my steak, I remember it being equally impressive, rounding out a nearly flawless meal.Overall, Hyde Park, Columbus, provided one of the top dining experiences of my life. I rate the restaurant a solid 5 out of 5, or more fittingly, an 11 out of 10. Paul’s exemplary service only amplified this remarkable evening, warranting a rating of 15 out of 10. This establishment is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a superior dining experience.

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here recently and enjoyed some high quality and delicious food and drinks. From wagyu beef carpaccio, smoked old fashion, to bone in steak, 4 cheese Mac & cheese, and more were all super delicious and cooked to the perfection .Classy interior with a gentle ambiance. But…I wouldn’t say, personally, that I had a good time, & here is why:Service wise, Our server did everything he supposed to m. He brought out a complementary birthday dessert for our daughter when it was time, in addition to the banana frost we ordered . but he also has been doing things that were so subtle, he probably didn’t even realize it, that made me feel very uncomfortable.1st, as i was checking out the Rare Spirit drinks menu, he said something like this “ these are very expensive drinks, why don’t you look at the ones on the other menu” and closed the rare menu then pulled the bigger menu in front of me. 🤨2nd, After he brought my smoked old-fashioned to the table, without saying anything, he walked right off to bring things to another table, then he came back around and said to me “YOU could’ve taken the drink out by yourself”, as a travel food blogger, based on my experience the waiter always take the drink out of the smoke box for the customer, especially for a high-end steakhouse like this. This was a first to me. 🤦🏻‍♀️3rd, when he was making the Irish Coffee, he was rushing to put out the fire on the sugar cube by using anything he could find on the table without considering if it was sanitary or not 😔… seriously, what was the rush.4th, this waiter never had a smile on his face and has been rushing the whole he was serving us, despite we were the very first customers for that day, there was no other table when we first arrived. There were no small talks like most the high-end restaurant waiters will do. I certainly understand it’s not required, but it is a unwritten etiquette.@WineDinenVacay do recommend this restaurant to all steak lovers & foodies, at the same time….Highly recommend management to conduct staff retraining on appropriate service etiquettes in settings like this.

WE SAW A RAT IN THE RESTAURANT, INFORMED MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS JUST CONTINUED AS NORMAL!!!!I told my husband that we should celebrate our anniversary here because I wanted us to have a great evening with quality food and service. Our occasion was acknowledged with rose petals and a card, nice touch. While we had great service, it was a tad slow. However, it's Friday night, people probably put off their Valentines Day celebration so I can understand. The crab cake appetizer was excellent and more than enough for my husband and I. He ordered the Japanese steak ($165) and enjoyed it immensely! My lamb was a bit salty, lobster mac & cheese could have used a little more flavor, however, both paired nicely together.Finale, the carrot case was amazing!!! It was not overly sweet, and with the vanilla bean icecream, it was divine. As I was enjoying dessert, I saw a RAT in the restaurant!!!!My husband thought I was seeing things until a lady at the other table saw it too. I told our sever, who stated she would tell the manager. The manager was calm and very apologetic. He stated that "an exterminator would be called and that the rat just wanted to get out from the cold." Is it safe to assume that this has happened before? I have dined at numerous establishments in and around Columbus, and I have NEVER seen a rat before! I do understand that certain things are probably beyond their control, but paying $400+ (including tip) for service, I DON'T EXPECT TO SEE ANY RODENTS!!!! Completely ruined my experience.

Wasn't sure what to expect but the place was crowded w prom, soccer, normal patrons. Could've dressed up or down and would've been fine. The food was delicious and the wagyu was perfect. The added couple little touches to help me celebrate mothers day for my wife. Will definitely return

Servers were absolutely incredible! Matt and Brind (sp?) were our servers. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktail choices. I don’t drink alcohol but I was able to get a delicious strawberry mock tail. The food was delicious in every way!!! The double chopped salad was perfection!! I’d go back just for that double chopped salad! We also got the oysters on the half shell (fantastic!). We had 5 cheese Mac, potatoes Gruyère gratin, and roasted brussel sprouts as our sides, all incredible! My husband had the special which was a 40 day aged ribeye soaked in woodford reserve and I had the chicken Milanese. Both delicious! We ended our dinner with the chocolate tort which was incredibly rich but so very delicious! Definitely recommend and would go back! Total was $256 for the two of us but we did order a lot of food. Worth every penny!!

Hyde Park was outstanding! This was our first time here and my husband and I went on Valentine’s Day. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, Steak Kosar, Steak Nicklaus, million dollar potatoes and asparagus. We got the flaming bananas foster for dessert and it was amazing! All the food was delicious, steaks cooked perfectly. My Hibiscus Cosmopolitan 😋 so yummy! Our servers were so nice. We can’t wait to return!

I've heard so much about Hyde Park, and I finally got a chance to check it out. It was a Sunday evening, and I decided to valet park my car for $10. We made reservations, and I was seated after the table was ready, and I wanted for my friend. The servers were great. They brought our drinks, and we reviewed the menu and the specials. So, I wanted an appetizer, but most of the We seafood and my friend does not like seafood. So I would recommend making some changes here. I really wanted to try some of the appetizers, but I prefer to share. We ordered our entrees. He got the Tomahawk Ribeye Steak, but I don't eat red meat, so I had the Chilean bass in the citrus sauce. Personally, I was not impressed. I did like the Brussel sprouts, which I got the bacon sauce on the side. I was hoping for more flavor on the fish, but it was ok. This is a steakhouse where you can get Japanese Wagyu. So, I expected as much. I also ordered a dessert, and it was also ok. The espresso wasn't bad. It's probably one of the better ones I've had in fine dining. The atmosphere is wonderful. I loved the different spaces they had for seating, such as the bar, the both, and the fireplace. The bathroom was beautiful and clean. Overall, it was a wonderful evening in a wonderful place with wonderful staff...just the food....

Happy Hour: Good overall experience. More than enough bar snack and cocktail options for happy hour and good service at the bar.My off-menu cocktail (lemon-drop martini) wasn’t great. Ordered menu cocktails and they were much better.Tuna wontons needed more flavor. Beef sliders were good. Shrimp cocktail was ok but better at the Ruth Chris across the street.
