Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Legacy of Vader #3
Star Wars has just created a pretty cool tie between Din Djarin's Mandalorian and a surprising character from the sequels. In The Mandalorian season 2's premiere, the titular Mando impressively took down a mighty Krayt dragon on Tatooine. Now, it's been revealed that another Star Wars character shares a similar feat with Din Djarin in the Star Wars canon.
In Marvel's new and canonical Legacy of Vader by Charles Soule and Luke Ross, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren has been investigating his grandfather's history. Guided by Darth Vader's former servant Vaneé, the duo's first stop in this new series is Tatooine, where Kylo ended up imprisoned by Gardulla, the same Hutt crime lord who once owned Anakin Skywalker and his mother as slaves before Watto. However, Kylo Ren ultimately broke free, embarking on a revenge quest that first began by surviving Tatooine's desert sands and its many dangers...including Krayt dragons.
Kylo Ren Just Killed A Krayt Dragon With His Bare Hands
Surviving Tatooine While Seeking Revenge

Making his way back to Gardulla's fortress, an unarmed Kylo Ren is shown facing down a Canyon Krayt dragon in Legacy of Vader #3. Defeating the monstrous creature with his bare hands, Kylo Ren makes short work of the imposing creature. He even fashioned a protective poncho from its scaled hide (Jedi survivor Cal Kestis would be jealous) and weapons from its fangs, killing two scavengers and using their transmitter to call the First Order for an orbital strike on Gardulla's base of operations.

Kylo Ren also killed several of Gardulla's men to retrieve his lightsaber before the strike. However, it's unclear if Gardulla herself was slain as well by the issue's end. Regardless, killing a Krayt dragon means Kylo Ren has entered a very small club of Star Wars characters who've done the same, one that's even smaller if Legends materials are counted (really just making it Din Djarin and Kylo himself).
Sure Kylo's Dragon Was Smaller, But Din Djarin Had Help
In The Mandalorian season 2, Din Djarin was aided by a tribe of Tusken Raiders, Marshall Cobb Vanth, and the people of Mos Pelgo to lure and distract the giant Leviathan Krayt dragon. That said, it was Djarin who delivered the final blow, allowing himself to be swallowed by the monster alongside a bantha loaded with explosives before flying out of its maw. While the Supreme Leader's Canyon Krayt is smaller, he still killed it on his own and was unarmed besides the Force. As such, Kylo Ren's and The Mandalorian's shared Krayt dragon victories are equally impressive despite the differing circumstances.

Din Djarin
Din Djarin was once a lone bounty who has since tasked himself with raising his adopted son and Mandalorian apprentice, Grogu. Born on Aq Vetina and raised on Concordia by the Mandalorian faction the Children of the Watch, Din is an orphan and Mandalorian foundling who has risked both his life and his Mandalorian Creed to protect Grogu. Djarin has become an important part of the galaxy's fight against the Imperial Remnant that lingers in the wake of the Empire's fall, as he is now working under-the-table for the fledgling New Republic's rangers.

Ben Solo/Kylo Ren
The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ben was manipulated by Palpatine through the Force for most of his life, influenced toward the dark side of the Force. A misstep by Luke Skywalker ultimately left Ben feeling he had no choice but to embrace the dark side, and he became Kylo Ren, a key figure in the First Order. Kylo Ren's heart remained deeply divided, however, even after he ascended to become Supreme Leader of the First Order. He was ultimately redeemed by Rey, with whom he shared a remarkable Force bond, and by the love of his parents.
